Every person has worth.
Building dignified pathways out of poverty through agriculture, enterprise support and market access.
Our mission is to lift 100,000 Kenyan women and youth out of poverty through agriculture.
We are starting with a pilot in Busia County, and we will grow only as the evidence supports it.
To lift families out of poverty through agriculture entrepreneurship as a life-saving intervention.
About Worth AllianceThree values behind everything we do.
Dignity
People are partners with agency and potential, never passive recipients.
Resilience
Households build income, savings, skills and confidence to withstand shocks.
Prosperity
Agriculture and enterprise become practical pathways to shared economic growth.
Solving for structural barriers to economic empowerment
Many women and youth farmers work hard but face structural barriers: limited access to capital, quality inputs, land, training and reliable markets. Where these are missing, effort alone cannot secure a stable income.
We work with communities to address these barriers together, so that families can build incomes they control and withstand shocks.

Five stages, one pathway out of poverty.
Poverty has many dimensions, so no single input is enough. Our model brings five stages together. Select a stage to see what has been done so far and what comes next.
Identify
Community-led selection of the households that need support most.
Completed for the pre-pilotWhat we have done
- Wealth ranking, household verification and a baseline assessment, with local leaders
- Households joined the pre-pilot, with women-headed households well represented
What comes next
- Repeat the same community-validated process for each new group of households
Invest
Small productive capital, with no collateral, to start or strengthen a farm enterprise.
Under wayWhat we have done
- Productive assets provided in phases: seed, pesticides, fungicides, organic fertiliser and land preparation
- Temporary weekly consumption support so families can protect their inputs
What comes next
- Further phased assets as the crop cycle moves on
Train
Practical training that follows the crop cycle, backed by a community mentor.
Under wayWhat we have done
- Introductory training on horticulture production, practical training on seedbed and seedling setup, safe handling of pesticides and fungicides, use of organic and non-organic fertiliser, and efficient use of natural resources
- Every participant has a community mentor, with weekly field visits to their farm
What comes next
- More hands-on sessions, from land preparation to harvest, storage and financial literacy
Link
Connecting producers with buyers and with each other.
Taking shapeWhat we have done
- Technical collaboration signed and buyer relationships developing
What comes next
- Aggregating harvests and selling to suitable buyers
- Recording yields, sales and verified profits
Grow
Income, food security and resilience, with success recycled to help the next family.
AheadWhat we have done
- Baseline recorded so progress can be measured fairly
What comes next
- Contributions only from verified profit, and nothing if there is none
- A revolving fund that supports future participants
- An end-of-cycle comparison against the baseline
Practical, dignified and evidence-driven.
These principles guide how we design, deliver and learn.
Community-led targeting
Households are identified through participatory wealth ranking and household verification, guided by community members and local leaders.
Dignity and shared risk
Participants receive productive capital without collateral and contribute only from verified profits, so that risk is shared and the fund can support future participants.
Evidence-driven learning
We track income, contributions from verified profit, market participation and lessons learned, and use this evidence to improve the programme before it grows.
Respect in every story
We share images and stories only with informed consent, and we show people as capable, active and in charge of their own progress.
