Worth Alliance

Walk alongside us.

Women and youth in Kenya are building livelihoods through agriculture. Funders, buyers, institutions and individuals can each strengthen that work. Find the way that fits your purpose.

Fund and co-fund

Support delivery, learning and systems.

We are developing an evidence-led poverty graduation model and welcome partners who wish to support it over several years, or for specific components. We are glad to share our approach, programme design and learning.

What this looks like

  • Support for delivery with participants in Busia County
  • Funding for monitoring, learning and evaluation
  • Strengthening the systems that make growth credible
  • Regular, honest updates on progress
Give with a closer view

A closer way to give.

For families and individuals who want to understand what their gift makes possible, we offer direct conversations with our team and an honest account of progress.

Our Income Sharing Agreement is designed so that capital can recycle to support more participants over time.

What this looks like

  • Direct access to the people leading the work
  • Updates on what your support makes possible
  • A dignity-based model built to learn and scale responsibly
  • Flexible ways to give, from a single gift to a multi-year commitment
Supply and buy

Work with organised producers.

We help small producers organise into stronger groups that improve consistency, records and market readiness. Buyers and aggregators gain access to organised supply. We also welcome conversations with agro-dealers offering quality inputs.

What this looks like

  • Producer groups building reliable, better-recorded supply
  • Opportunities for buyers, aggregators and processors
  • Quality seed, tools and crop-protection inputs for participants
  • Fair, transparent and respectful commercial relationships
Share expertise

Strengthen support for rural households.

We work with community leaders, local institutions, training partners, buyers and cooperative actors to strengthen support for rural households. We welcome partners in extension, training, evaluation and cooperative development.

What this looks like

  • Extension, training and technical collaboration
  • Independent evaluation and learning partnerships
  • Alignment with county development priorities
  • Cooperative development and market systems
Give or volunteer

Every contribution matters.

You can give, follow our progress, share our work with others, or offer a skill. Each contribution supports the people at the centre of this work.

Common questions

Quick answers.

What does Worth Alliance do?

We support women and youth farmers in Kenya to build dignified livelihoods through agriculture, combining productive capital, practical training, field mentoring, cooperative development, market access and evidence-driven monitoring.

Who do you work with, and where?

Our first programme area is Busia County, Kenya. Participants are identified through community-led wealth ranking and household surveys.

How does the model work?

Five stages: Identify, Invest, Train, Link and Grow. Community-led selection, productive capital, practical training with a mentor, links to buyers, and income that is recycled to help the next family.

Is the capital a loan?

We use an Income Sharing Agreement. Participants receive small productive capital without collateral and contribute back only from verified future profits, so risk is shared and the fund can support others.

What does support help fund?

Productive capital for participants, practical training, community mentoring, cooperative and market linkages, and the monitoring that helps us learn what works.

How will I hear about progress?

Subscribe to our updates and follow us on LinkedIn and Instagram. We describe our work in measured terms and report what we are learning as the pilot progresses.

Can I visit, or feature participants in a story?

Please contact us first. We tell stories and take photos only with informed consent, and we always put participants' dignity and privacy first.

How can I work with Worth Alliance?
